Shaw AFB has some of the finest facilities in the Air Force.
BX- Shaw AFB is fortunate to have a large,
modern Base Exchange Facility. It is a full service facility, offering a full range of
products and services. Within the BX complex you can also find a florist, barber
and beauty shop, optical shop, dry cleaners and alteration shop, and a Military
Clothing Store. The food court offers Anthony's Pizza, Robin Hood, and Frank's Franks, as
well as Baskin Robins.

COMMISSARY- The commissary is located conveniently next to the BX. It
offers a good choice of products including a deli, bakery and large meat and produce

Carolina Pines Inn- The Carolina Pines Inn
is a modern, well-equipped on-base lodging facility. Reservations for those PCS-ing in or
out should be made as early as possible.

Enlisted Club- The Enlisted Club is open to all enlisted personnel and
DOD civilians, GS-6 and below. A full-service facility, it offers a dining room, a
pizza and Sub Sandwich pub, a casual bar, party rooms and ballroom. The Cashiers
Cage offers check cashing services.

Officers Club- The Officers Club is open
to all officers and DOD civilians, GS-7 and above. A full-service facility, it
offers a dining room, a casual bar, party rooms and ballroom catering. The Cashiers

CHAPEL- The Base Chapel Program has two chapels, Palmetto Chapel, a 300
seat Brick chapel, and Friendship Chapel, a 200 seat Wooden structure, built during World
War II to satisfy the worship needs of Shaw Field for the Duration of the War. They
offer both General and Catholic Services weekly. It also offers denominational
services, religious services, Bible studies, weddings, funeral, memorial services and
counseling.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER- The CDC offers
quality childcare for ages six months to six years from Monday through Friday. Monthly or
hourly drop-in fees are available. It also offers an early childhood development
program, and a before and after-school program for kindergarten children.

Family Daycare- Family Daycare is provided
in government quarters by people licensed through the family day care program. Please call
the family day care coordinator for more information.

PRE-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM-
Classes are available for children ages 3-5. the program is geared towards early
child development, and focuses on all sill areas.

FITNESS CENTER- This facility is wonderfully equipped and offers a full
range of services. It features seven racquetball/handball courts, sauna, men's and women's
locker rooms, weight room with Nautilus equipment, tennis courts, jogging track, softball
and football fields, basketball courts, aerobic exercise room and volleyball courts.
Aerobic and karate classes are offered.
