The cost of living in the Denver area is very high.  Average home price is approximately $275,000.  Rental homes are available but you will find more apartment and condo options than homes.  Expect to pay approximately $1000 on average for a  two-bedroom apartment and $1200 for a three-bedroom.  Houses in the area average $1200 - $2000 per month.
