     Located just 45 minutes west of Shaw AFB, Columbia is the state capital and offers many attractions for your enjoyment.  It is home to many cultural and traditional attractions, to include the South Carolina State Museum, the Riverbank Zoo, the Kroger Center for the Arts and the Columbia Museum of the Arts.

    For the Sports fans, Columbia is home to the Fighting Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina, as well as the Capital City Bombers, a South Atlantic League Class A Baseball franchise.
