		Phoenix, Arizona-
		 Located just east of
Luke AFB is Phoenix, Arizona.  With its wide variety of shopping,
family fun activities and events, and many parks it will become a
favorite location for those stationed at Luke.  Phoenix offers all
of the excitement and amenities of a big city without the big city
expense.  Phoenix and its suburbs offer over 200 golf courses!
With over 300 days of sunshine, there is plenty of time to visit them
all.  Phoenix is relatively easy to navigate.  There is a
comprehensive highway system which seems to have kept up well with
		Phoenix's growth.
		Avondale / Goodyear,  Arizona-
		 The communities of
Avondale and Goodyear lie about 5 miles south of Luke AFB.
Both communities have developed from small, farming communities into
large communities with ample shopping and entertainment opportunities.
Bike or hike their many miles of trails and visit the parks including
the Friendship Park, a youth sports complex complete with a sculpture
garden and gazebo donated from Kaizu Japan.   There are
several large shopping centers anchored by big box stores, an auto mall
featuring 14 car dealers, and an 18-plex theater. Avondale is the home
of Phoenix International Raceway.    So much to do, yet
these communities retain their small town feel.
		Litchfield Park,  Arizona-
		 Litchfield Park is a
small community just two miles south of Luke AFB.  Like Avondale
and Goodyear, Litchfield Park began as a farming community.  Its
small town charm and tree lined streets make it a favorite for those
looking for housing.  One of the town's highlights is the Wigwam
		Resort.
